sir i love your software. honestly i'm new to it,
i just found out about the generate feature for the theme.
it really is amazing and unique for DAWs.
awesome for people like me who aren't designers but have vague idea of what they want and otherwise couldn't achieve it without such simple genius feature.

i was wondering about some small minor things. probably sound ocd.

if you look at the picture, there are what seems to me as yellow color lines at the 0dB mark.

I think this feature request was already discussed but it would really help me to change an arrangement without losing information (deleting) or hiding this information in the clip's menu (Gain).

Right click on a clip -> Clip -> Mute (can be checked and unchecked like "Loop Set")
should
1.) remove it from the play list (preferred) or played with 0 volume (tricky with MIDI clips that contain MIDI CC)
2.) place an X (cross) over the clip so it's easy to detect that it's muted

Here's a problem which is driving me crazy. I've spent a couple dozen hours experimenting and also searching the Web to see if anyone else has encountered it. No luck in either case thus far.

I have a score with three parts: dulcimer, upright bass and percussion. During playback, the first note of the score is missed by some instruments, but completely at random. Sometimes, all three parts play correctly from the start, and at other times some of the three instruments skip their first note, in various combinations. I've not been able to detect the pattern.

I recorded a vocal and it went in panned hard left (this was not a qtractor setting). I'm assuming it was an issue with my Edirol interface.

Is there a way to centre this signal retrospectively?

Having worked with a Pianist on a few songs, that plays in the order of 1500 notes per track.
I would like your thoughts on changes to the Midi Normalize function.
I have written (crudely) a Python tool to normalize the track with less edit steps.

The program steps are: User sets the desired Max velocity point. Say 95 (95 / 127 possible values).
User sets the compression ratio, say 2:1 ratio.

The program: Gets Max Velocity from the track. Apples the formula newVelocity = (velocity / compression) + gain.

There are two related requests from Qtractor users.
- Faders in plugins:
This would allow post-fader workflows, necessary for sends, and still be able to use the original Qtractor faders.

- Audio faders for tracks and midi buses:
It would simplify the control of software synthesizers.

Unfortunately I am not able to develop it, but I can conceive how it would work.
I have proposed it as an intellectual exercise. This is the result, and I want to share it with all of you.

To visualize it better we stop at a strange BPM of 4 beats per minute.

Now let's move on to a 3x4, the tempo should not influence the total beats in a minute.
However, now we get only 3 BPM as seen in the image instead of 4.

After that it refuses to import clips.
Importing tracks works correctly.

I don't know what to call this feature request so please forgive the poorly worded title.

Can the outputs field be highlighted or something when any of the channels are in a connected state? Right now, the only way to know if something is connected is to click on the button in order to bring up the Connections window and scrolling, potentially quite a bit.. By highlighting (or whatever makes sense), the end user would know at a glance if anything is connected.
