Hovering over the A on a track changes focus

Forums

Greetings,

I've noticed hovering (with the rodent) over a track's A pull-down menu actually changes focus to the track as if one had gone ahead and clicked on the track. Actually, "hover" is a bit generous as a fly-over accomplishes the same. Would that be an easy fix? It's also simple enough for me to avoid that small horizontal "lane" in the Track Name column. Just wondering.

All the best

Feature Request: MIDI Clip Editor should follow timeline back/forth movements

Forums

Warning: This may be the greatest feature request of all time (unless it is not)

Here's our starting place...

step 1

The image above shows 2 important details

  • Play-head is on measure 5
  • The clip on track 2 has been single-clicked solely for the purpose of showing the clip's length in this post.

OK, let's double click the clip on track 2

step 2

Feature Request: 4 new keybindings for raising/lowering velocity values in the midi editor

Forums

My feature request relates to selected notes in the midi editor.

I ask that you consider adding 4 new keybindings to change velocity values for a selected note or notes.

One pair to increase/decrease velocity value in units of 10, and one pair to increase/decrease velocity value in units of 1.

Would prefer the units to be "midi" units, (0-127) but if pixels is easier, or more reliable, then that's ok too.

Alex.

2 possible visual improvements:

Forums

qtractorTrackList.cpp line 1248:
If we reduce the contrast of the embossing light, a more integrated visual result remains.
It is closer to the default "inset outset" border effect in Qt Fusion.
It can be seen in the image. The embossing of the table header is taken by Qt Fusion's default qtractor.

Name on Clips:
The "Name" on the clips has very low visibility.
If the "Name" color is changed to white, readability improves.

Feature Request: Display MIDI controller data in hover

Forums

mixer strip slider

Would it be possible to include any assigned MIDI Controller data in a given slider's existing hover?

I realize it may be practical to limit to a given subset of the data as there are obviously many types; each with their own number of properties. In my case, I'm exploring the cc automation and am seeing how the overall efficiency of the work flow would benefit from the end user having a quicker way to see what's what.

Scenario: Nothing is assigned
