Here's our starting place...

OK, let's double click the clip on track 2
Midi Clip Editor is now active. I do realize the presentation of the data is persisted (cached) from how it was last viewed.
Press B (mapped to Transport/Backward).
As directed, Play-head went back (in this case, to measure 1). The MIDI Clip Editor missed an excellent opportunity to do the same thing since the final "jump location" is within the coverage of the clip in question. In other words, had I pressed F (mapped to Transport/Forward), no re-rendering of any sort would be needed since Play-head would move to measure 9 and be visible in both the sequencer view and the current view of the clip editor. Same goes (in this case) if F were to be used again to move to the current location of the Edit-head on 10.03

hi,
I'm not seeing this happen, maybe sometimes seems it might be true when View > Option... > "Hold auto-scrolling (follow-playhead) on edits" is in effect?
or is it not?
Thank you for checking. I did
Thank you for checking. I did have that setting enabled at the time I wrote the post. Disabling it gave me the exact functionality I've been dreaming of. This is too good!
Thank you
