Hi there.
Many greatings.
I'm a newbie in linux, but I trying hard to get rid of Windows and Mac once for all.
I was having some issues while trying to configure some audio softwares to work with Jack, recently Ardour and BitWig, and decided to reinstall qjackctl. But while I was following the instructions of the INSTALL file, in the package, I got an error. This one: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
Yep. I had do idea my PC was insane.
I'm sending the config.log attached.
If you out there have any idea of what's going on, I would appreciate any help.
Thank you all in advance
Peace,
Gil

re. while configuring... "sanity check fails"! wow!
hi,
make sure you have all the pre-requisites to build and install s/w from source--most often and usually that means you should have (a lot of) development related packages already installed, along with all its respective "ammo"... starting with gcc (gnu c), g++ (gnu c++) compilers and their sidekicks (eg. cpp stands for the c pre-processor).
otoh. and off the record, being a newbie as you say, i'd say it is a bold move for you trying building it straight from the source. yeah, i know it's my cup of tea and i do tell peeps to try just that more that often, but not at all for the likes as a first comer as i think you might be.
but don't despair. please try whether your distro already supplies the intended packages for a start. qjackctl is old enough to be on most if not every distro out there.
cheers
