It's great to hear that automation is under development, it's already a pleasure to use such a great sequencer as already is, I'm sure it will be even greater with this new feature!
But I still think that a fade acting on volume controller would be more useful and intuitive (IMHO).
Fading in/out would be smooth like it is for audio tracks, without changes in brightness and timbre of the instrument.
Just a side question: in the mixer, the gain meters for midi channels still relates to velocity? So it means that a note at 127 of velocity in a channel at 50% volume would result in a note at 63?
