While I certainly trust your experience and insights, I still wonder if you're perhaps overthinking the benefit of a text plugin? The entire point of a plugin is to decouple a piece of functionality or data so it can be used by multiple things. So what else would be using it? Also, by "it", are we still talking about a helpful collection of words used to describe this and that (plugins used, routing instructions, anything) or are you now thinking about an actual language? In other words, are you now thinking about this text playing more of a scripting role?

Maybe I'm reading too much into this? Just trying to understand the big picture.
