Hello,
I am playing with microtuning and found out how to load alternative tunings into fluidsynth. This works too by starting qsynth in the commandline, but only for one fluidsynth instance.
here is an example:
bluesscream@T410L:~$ qsynth '/home/bluesscream/soundfonts/gamelan-perunggu-sf2/gamelan perunggu.sf2' '/home/bluesscream/scala/sysex122/gamelan_udan.mid'
Is there a way to do this with additional instances of fluidsynth in the qsynth gui? This would give me a comfortable way to combine additional Instruments in the same alternative tuning. Additional fluidsynth instances opened in the gui are in standard tunig with stadard soundfont
It is not possible to start a second instance of qsynth gui in a new commandline which would be a workaround. A second fluidsynth can be started in a new commandline but does not appear in the gui and must be controlled in it's own terminal and all settings get lost after closing
Did I overlook something?
Anyway a feature to load alternative tunings as like loading sf2's via gui would be fine.
Thanks a lot for your work!

re. Qsynth alternative tunings
no, there's no current way to configure alternate tunings on the additional engines but the first, as you already know (from command-line)
but i guess you can apply the tunings file (.mid) by drag-and-dropping it over the main qsynth gui, as long you make each engine as the current, one at a time.
not a definitive solution, i know. but just an idea :)

This drag&drop solution is so
This drag&drop solution is so easy
and works fine :))))))
