Is Synthv1 the most stable soft synth for Qtractor?

I wanted to use Helm but Qtractor froze crashed when I tried to choose preset. (Although that was on Arch, I've recently switched back to Ubuntu Studio and haven't tried it again yet. And yes I uninstalled the old Ubuntu Studio 0.9.. Qtractor version and got the latest one from git)

Synthv1 seems like the most stable soft synth option for Qtractor.

hi, can't answer the question as it would sound a bit biased... :)

besides it being tested first on qtractor, of course, there's no reason that would make it only partially true...

there are a lot of other soft-synths out there, and then a more recent build to helm and/or qtractor might do wonders, hopefully ;)

but let others speak before taking conclusions

cheers

thank you for replying!

when i used to use lmms on widows years back, i fell in love with one Synth1 vst and used it as my main soft synth for years. I learned and improved a lot on it.

now that i'm trying foss music production, I think i'll play around with Synthv1 to see if I can feel confident enough with it to use it as my main soft synth. Especially since I'm already in love with Qtractor.

thank you for all the wonderful open source audio software sir as well as for offering honest advice to a stranger like myself!
