I attempted to build qjackctl and the confiqure failed as follows:

Off and on I've been trying to fix a Firewire issue with my machine for many months.
I'm unable to start the JACK Audio Connection Kit (QjackCtl).
I think I've finally diagnosed the problem as having something to do with the kernel given the output in the syslog (see output below).
I don't have a clue of how to fix it though. Any ideas?
Details:
I'm running Ubuntu Studio 16.04.1 with kernel 4.4.0-31-lowlatency.
The box is connected to an Onyx-i series Firewire mixer via a PCIe adapter.

i had some issues when running ./configure, but it ran after i installed qt5 dev pkgs.

Tried to compile qjackctl on Linux and am running into some issues, and I'm not sure what to investigate & fix.
jack2 from git is installed on the system.
The qjackctl configure script produced this result, I'm not sure if this is to be expected or indicates some kind of problem?

Apart from that things looked normal and I ran make but it errors at this point

Firstly, thanks for all the hard work, it's much appreciated by me and many others, so I feel bad I haven't said it before, and then just show up with a question....
So I use QjackCtl on my little linux netbook for PureData, and on my Mac for Mixbus and PureData.
I've been using the old JackOSX package for years because, well, it's really neat, and it worked.
In the past few months though, I thought I should really put the effort in to compile this all properly on OSX, and then you announced the update, so I got stuck in. Mostly stuck.

After compiling todays source code (0.4.0.20git.e8612a0) and installing, qjackctl's icon in the menu is huge. It doen't adjust it's size automatically to fit the menu.

I'm new to ubuntu studio. tried Ardour 3 with m-audio fastrack soundcard. It worked at first but now, every time I load Ardour, I get the following message:

I really love how new QjackCtl 0.4.0 has a bit cleared Setup/Settings. It's a difficult job to redesign something. I always felt that app lacks simplicity and that's probably what others already alarmed one guy who make the app. I also got video to show:

QJackCtl v0.3.13.9 and above always runs with 48000 Hz although I set it to 44100Hz and QJackCtl.conf shows the value 44100. Additionally QJackCtl starts automatically Jack although the setting in the tab is not activated.
v0.3.13.8 works fine.
