Vee One Suite 0.3.4 - Brand new icons ready.

Yet another batch of the Vee One Suite of old-school software instruments is out: synthv1 polyphonic synthesizer, samplv1 polyphonic sampler and drumkv1 drum-kit sampler, this time presenting their brand new icons while dropping the lamest old-schooler's out, in a master lesson taught by Jarle Richard Akselsen, thanks.

All still available in dual form:

  • a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session, NSM (Non Session management) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI input support;
  • a LV2 instrument plugin.

Vee One Suite 0.3.3 - Late spring blossoming

A new batch of the so called Vee One Suite of old-school software instruments is out: synthv1 polyphonic synthesizer, samplv1 polyphonic sampler and drumkv1 drum-kit sampler, are slowly maturing.

As before delivered still in dual forms, each with their own amenities:

  • a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session, NSM (Non Session management) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI input support;
  • a LV2 instrument plugin.

Major release highlights:

  • LV2 External UI extension support;
  • NSM (Non session management) support.

Aha, and each one of the contraptions also got their own ordinary icon color personalities, whatever. I'm sure you'll notice.

Back from LAC2013@IEM-Graz

Not sure if I'll be back anytime soon, as life is short and shorter by the minute as there's so many things to get done, let alone seeing again. I believe no matter one sees it, Graz is a lovely town, singular on its own. And it just got brilliant after this latest LAC iteration. As they say 'round here, it's like Porto (the wine), it just gets better with age :).

As it's been the norm, this self-indicted über-procrastinator only gets the chance to put some babbling about the experience a lot after. So it is this now, it's all gone and wrapped and is with tears in the eyes that these lines are now happily written.

Gone Home

Some would remember this and then, Alvin's now back home for good.

Although I was just a toddler at the time, I still keep in my deepest one of the greatest guitar licks of all time, more than Hendrix at the same venue, sure I tell it inspired a great part of my whole adolescence.

I hope I have more ten years to get back home like he did <?php echo format_interval(time() - mktime(12, 0, 0, 3, 6, 2013)); ?> ago..

Vee One Suite 0.3.2 - One third bug-fix release

As they use to say--'round here at least--there's no second without a third. So there it goes, yet another batch for the Vee One Suite of old-school software instruments being thrown out to the wild. Usual suspects include synthv1, a polyphonic synthesizer, samplv1, a polyphonic sampler and drumkv1, a drum-kit sampler.

Same as before, they come in a duality of forms:

  • a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI input support;
  • a LV2 instrument plugin.

Now, the (boring) bill of changes follows:

  • Pitch-bend, Modwheel and LFO Pitch range internal fixes.
  • LV2 State save flags now forced to be portable POD.
  • Sustain/damper pedal switch (MIDI CC#64) support added. (synthv1, samplv1)
  • Color palette hack on Qt5 dark themes. (TESTING)

All this are free, open-source Linux Audio software, distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2 or later.

Enjoy && Have fun!
