re. i have created a sourceforge account and will start to work on documenting the takes-feature. What's the correct way to get started, working on docucmentation?

i need to know your sf.net handle (username) and grant it authorship privileges. after that, it's just a matter to start from the wiki home and possible add a page afetr another :)
