The Pre-LAC2018 release frenzy is now complete...
Change-log:
- Displaying MIDI note(on) events as diamonds instead of simple rectangles (aka. Drum Mode) is now being introduced as an optional MIDI track property (Drums) and as a MIDI clip editor (piano-roll) visual option (cf. View/Drum Mode).
- Extended multi-selection is now supported on all the Connections client/port lists, allowing for multiple (dis)connections at once.
- Added LV2 UI sample-rate option support.
- Always reset all internal dedicated MIDI controllers, eg. MIDI track volume (CC#7) and panning (CC#10), on Transport/Panic and after rendering export to audio (ie. Track/Export Tracks/Audio...) as needed to reset MIDI instrument plugins to nominal session state.
- Fix, detect and preserve MIDI Bank-select method across MIDI track/clips editing operations.
- Fixed MIDI track and clip note min/max display range while recording and also when duplicating tracks.
- Added "All files (*.*)" filter to every file requestor dialog, wherever missing.
- The tiny zoom-magnifier icons have been revamped.

A better pitch-bend control
Hey you know what would be reaaaaly cool? A better pitch-bend control ; like what we have right now for the automation: curves and control points, down to precise numeric input. Right now it's a PITA to write, the bars are always too small even at the max zoom level, returning to zero is awkward ; now I'm just saying :)
re. A better pitch-bend control
hey yPhil,
the MIDI clip editor (aka piano-roll editor) offers you free-hand drawing of controller events which includes pitch-bend events of course; in addition you may correct the envelope selected series via a floating straight line (click+drag when in edit but not in draw mode)... these are tools already there at your disposal.
what you mean the bars are too small? you can always change the height of the event value pane, by dragging the horizontal splitter that separates the piano-roll above and the event pane below, make it taller and so the bars will show up and proportionally bigger ;)
yeah, it would be dang cool to have it the same as automation curves, i know and you know what? too many cool ideas, too little spare time to make them realized ;)
hth.
cheers
