How to use a midnam file?

Forums

Hi, I read ''MIDI instrument definitions (a-la Cakewalk(tm) (*.ins));
SoundFont (*.sf2) and MIDI Names XML (*.midnam) files also supported.''

I made a midnam for my Kawai MP6, but can't find out how to load it/where to place it.
Thanks!

same as loading a MIDI instrument definition a-la Cakewalk(tm) (*.ins) and/or Soundfont (*.sf2):

main menu: View/Instruments... > Import... > locate and select your file (*.midnam) > Open.

after that moment the instrument definition shall be available for all MIDI track assignment purposes (cf. Track/Track Properties...).

hth.
cheers
