Wondering if anyone can suggest a freely licensed chord plugin? Ideally such a thing would allow me to hit a single note and present me with endless hours of chords to choose from. The selected chord would be audible (suggesting the plugin's MIDI output would be routed to the MIDI input of something that generates sound) and be displayed on a piano-ish layout so I'd be able to see what is happening.
Of course, some aspects of the above could also be incorporated in the plugin itself if it were capable of producing audio.

Hi, it's probably stupidly obvious but how do I change the MIDI channel that my keyboard is on? It seems to be stuck on channel 1. There is nothing on my keyboard that allows me to change channel.

I just discovered QXGedit and wonder if anyone knows of anything similar to handle GS soundbanks? I currently load my GS banks via calf-fluid but that's not an editor. Thanks.

OK, this may be off topic but I'm a little desperate and someone might know of one.

I'm disabled and write music using MIDI and notation. Thing IS - not all VST synths have MIDI built in and the ones that DON'T I can't control. That's no volume control, velocity control, nothing. They're stuck on full blast all the time.

So what would be great is a volume control plug-in that works using CC7 which I can just stick in the effects chain on the channel, so I can turn the sound up and down. But I can't find one anywhere!

I'm trying to play MIDI files on Windows. I've tried to do so on VLC and learned that's not supported anymore. Midi - VideoLAN Wiki mention to use FluidSynth so I've downloaded GeneralUser GS and was goign to configure it but the current VLC version doesn't support FluidSynth anymore. I don't know how to get GeneralUser GS to play MIDI files and thought Qsynth might do so.

I love the Vee One suite, but I'd like to use more MIDI controller and less mouse. (Heck.. I'd love to use no mouse some day, but one step at a time..) Forgive me if I've overlooked this feature, but is it possible to attach knobs, menus, etc to CC numbers? Even if I have to manually edit a config file, that'd be okay. I tried using the 'learn' function on my Behringer BCR2000, but I couldn't get that to work.

If this doesn't exist yet, I'd like to make a suggestion, regarding that and preset changes.

I want send mtc from a mac computer, using rtp-midi and receive it on a linux computer with QmidiNet.
Both computers are in different cities.
Is that possible with QmidiNet? I just want to know if possible before beginning to study how.
