Q plugins in JUCE7 LV2 Host.

Forums

Hi,

I've tested padthv1 and all of other synth in AudioPluginHost (https://github.com/juce-framework/JUCE/tree/juce7/extras/AudioPluginHost). They were loaded fine, sounds and it's possible to control with mouse.
But GUI has some problems:
no keyboard input in parameters or preset name field
"new", "load" and "save" buttons doesn't work
changing settings in the Configure window doesn't apply and aren't saving, though keyboard works here.

Linux Mint MacBook Pro and Qtractor no sound

Forums

Hi can anyone point me in the right direction please? I am trying to move my production platform from Logic Pro X to Qtractor. I have a 2014 MacBook Pro (11.3) and Linux Mint Cinamon. Sound is OK when playing MP3 files or watching YouTube videos but I have no luck with Qtractor. The internal mic shows input and I can record to a track and see the wave pattern. On playback the led output bars trigger in time with the recording but no sound at all. So frustrating!! Richie

QjackCtl and Qtractor icons display wrong when installed by appimaged-go

Forums

Hi Rui,

I've raised an issue with the appimaged-go author regarding the incorrect display of QjackCtl and Qtractor icons. These display fine under the original appimaged.

The author of appimaged-go has suggested the problem is that the applications are specifying a SVG icon instead of PNG. Looking at your README.md for these applications, in their Github repositories, it looks to me that you install a hicolor 32x32 PNG.

Alternative to... Ableton Live

Forums

Hi everyone.. as a musician and producer who finally completely switched to Linux (from Mac), I ask you: don't you think it's a pity not having a valid, working, massive, free alternative to Ableton Live on Linux? Even if without recording features... Even just for playing live loops in a creative way, with easy bpm stretching/adapting functions, etc...

I tried "giada" and "LuPPP" but they both have something missing... the first would be nice but it's quite unstable, the second misses some important features...
Bitwig is ok but obviously it's not free and open source.

Questions on how to sample a keyboard sound

Forums

Greetings, Rui!

I have a question that is mostly directed towards your experience, not pertaining to a single one of The Q/Vee Tools, that is.

Say that I have a nice keyboard that comes with sounds and everything, but I do not want to carry it to a live performance, for some reason or another (e.g., weight, keybed size and quality, etc.). I would like to investigate sampling said keyboard (say two or three sounds) and playing the samples through more modular, lighter, open source, custom equipment (e.g., a laptop or Raspberry Pi, a MIDI master keyboard, etc.).
