Am I correct that MIDI data generated in a MIDI track/bus doesn't leave that track/bus? I'd like to use QMidiArp's LV2 plugins to drive an external synth.
yes. it is true that MIDI events generated in a MIDI track/bus plugin chain don't ever leave it, sorry.
though, you can trigger an internal MIDI synth if it's inserted _after_ the generator plugin (eg. qmidiarp) provided both are in the same MIDI track/bus chain.
Consider it a feature request then ;) Or maybe a MIDI aux send plugin.
I'm already having a lot of fun using the QMidiArp plugins, in some cases it has some great advantages compared to Qtractor's built-in sequencer or seq24.

Solved!
falkTX's JackAss plugin does the trick, it allows you to route MIDI out via JACK-MIDI and it also happens to work with Qtractor.
