Hi,
Sometimes, specially when recording, I want to wait for a bar (or more than one) before actually recording. What I do is the simple solution of leaving a coule of empty bars at the begining of each track, that way I listen to the metronome for that period of time and then start playing. Does Qtractor have a function to do this automatically? I mean, a playback mode that each time you press the "play" button it plays the requested amount of bars with the metronome only and then starts playing the actual track.

you mean a pre-roll metronome feature, right? then no, there's no such thing in qtractor, sorry.
you are doing it exactly as i do :) having a couple of bars of slack before hitting the axe :) well, punch in/out may become handy in there but fundamentally you're not missing anything :)

Ok, it's nothing important and I'm sure it would be a waste of effort to do such thing when the work I'm sure is being put on TYOQA! :) Just asking, if there was such feature great, if there's not...great too. I'll keep doing it the ol' way.
