What does MIDI queue drift correction

Forums

and what happens, when it's not activated?
Does it have any function when there is no tempo change?

hi,
MIDI queue drift correction is all about adjusting the ALSA(-MIDI) Sequencer skew rate to minimize the drift to JACK(-audio) frame time; although it doesn't really matter to when all processing is done internally, inner to qtractor engine, which btw is always sample-accurate, it's more of a concern specially to external (ALSA-)MIDI event streams in the long run, when the (JACK-)audio and (ALSA-)MIDI clocks surely and increasingly drift away from each other.
hth.
cheers
