Hi again
I've just got back home and re-read your answer and my post.....
When you say
"Currently, recording is a linear editing operation, even though you're setting playback to loop."

Do you mean (to be clear) that there is no overdub facility when in record mode on a loop? Is that why my recording is appearing 'down the road' as I put it after the first pass when recording? From reading what you've said - this is what is happening. Forgive me for saying this but putting some locators into the arrangement and looping a part is surely a natural way of recording isn't it? When I am building stuff up I like things to keep looping around and around as I add little bits or add a hi hat line on top of a bass drum I recorded first time around.......so this isn't possible at the moment?

By the way your English is excellent......
