Never mind. Figured it out through a bunch of trial and error. Turns out, MIDI gets passed down on the track as expected and the VST3 version of this ripchord plugin is either busted in some way or something......... point is, the broken link lies with the VST3 version of the plugin. Once I substituted it for the CLAP version, MIDI data was passed out and sent to the next instrument on the track. Just to be clear for anyone who comes along and reads this in the future, no need for inserts, extra busses or routing of any kind as my initial post was entertaining. Simply chain the plugins on a single track and MIDI is passed along as expected.
This thing is cool!
