ok, on svn trunk it might -- yes, might, no guarantees ;) -- solve the vertical splitter issue. as said i failed to reproduce the lockups you report but was getting some 'painter not active or already in use' on the console standard output, so it might -- once again -- be related somehow.

please, try && tell

ps. svn trunk is versioned as qtractor 0.4.8.45 attotw--latest snapshots always found here.
