I've always understood your reason for removing some icons.
However, it's not an approach that's suitable for everyone.

There will be those who want to use the theme for its elegance, but don't want to lose icons.

Of course, it's also worth offering the option of the original concept, "0 distraction", for those who prefer to avoid mouse clicks as much as possible.

If you can, don't forget to update the theme version.
It's been several updates without changing the version.
