You are right as usual Rui ; The ubuntu-packaged drumkv1 is not working properly, as has been the case with many other music software in Ubuntu so far, so basically now everything (except libs) is compiled from source.

I have to say, I really like drumkv1. The controls are responsive and the sound is very good. Everything is laid out in a logical way and from loading a sample to woah-this-is-some-kick-ass-HH-dude it can be less than 2 minutes of happy, creative and proper-this-is-how-it's-done knob-fiddling under the headphones.
