- modifier key (shift+drag maybe) that prevents the Clip/mouse from moving left or right, when dragging to upper/lower tracks
No, there's no current way to keep constant timing while dragging clips. I confess I've always relied on the snap-to-beat facility, but now that I think I find it to be a very good idea though. Must add this one to the list too ;)

- double click in an empty space on a track should select all Clips within that track
As you wish ;) in the mean time, the current way to select all clips in the current track is either via de menu Edit/Select/Track or by shift-clicking on the colored track number (the firts column on the track list, main window left pane).
