Argh. I fixed the lockup alright, but failed to tell you that changing Master mode to anything but Duplex is not a good thing to do. Guess I will disable it: Master buses will be always set to duplex mode. You can change the name, the number of channels or the auto-connect flag, but not the mode. We'll see if that's enough... :)

Okay, fair enough, but now how do I add additional input channels? I assumed this was the way to do it. I would not need more that six or eight presently, but two certainly isn't enough.
