Calf MonoSynth?
I'm not a synth expert, but I do know that I personally like the sounds it generates.

Interface errors with Calf plugins occur in the appimage version of Qtractor, at least in my experience.
It doesn't occur in the installable version or when compiling.

Rui provides installables for most Linux OS here:

Look for your OS on the right.

It's the development version, not the stable one, but Rui's development versions are usually just as stable as the stable ones.
So you'll also be able to enjoy the new features before they come out.

Anyway, everything seems to indicate that you've already found your general purpose battle synth and it's Synthv1 :).
