Chiming in to applaud any efforts to improve on this area of the workflow. Currently, I use the input bus method recommended by Carl in the video linked above. It's a bit tedious but I understand it and it works well. That said, it's important to understand the method is actually a work-around since buses don't mix down in the logical way one would expect. Also, we're still carrying around the "dead weight" of a bus we don't use (which is fine other than the fact it is taking up screen real estate).

Granted, given how long this plumbing has been in place, I'm sure the lift would be tremendous.
