I have some prolly idiotic questions for you all: how often do you use the Rewind and Fast-forward transport actions? Do you find those any useful at all? Could them be axed and modified to accommodate this FR instead? Say, for instance, the rewind and forward steps to be regulated by the current snap-to-beat setting and only when playback is rolling it taking the current fast-stepping continuous behavior?
