qtractor is NOT an audio file editor.
but you can split audio clips alright, and that comes in two ways at least:
1. Edit > Split: splits clips at selection boundaries; disabled if there are no current clip selection.
2. Clip > Split: applies to the current highlighted clip only and splits it at the play-head location; disabled if there's no current highlighted clip or the play-head is not currently located over it.
