re. A small(?) suggestion: the Midi Tools window is closed when settings are applied. Is it possible to add an apply button and keep the window open? This would make experimenting a lot easier.

it depends on what settings are you trying to change... most certainly are some that deals with the meta-source MIDI clip properties and that is not negotiable :
it closes the editor and you ought to open it again after you do the stabs, so to speak ;)
