thanx for the reply! I too am running xfce v4.12 (Arch linux up to date here).

I also posted a message on the arch forums about it, may go to the xfce forums as well.

When you added it to autostart, does it create a .desktop file in your autostart folder? if so, can you post the contents?
did you originally have it installed on the xfce system? maybe the upgrade, maybe I missed a file?

just trying to think of other ideas why only 0.5.5 doesn't autostart properly.
