Hi, Im looking for help to control the synthv1 from my arduino leonardo midi.
I am able to play sounds using qjackctl currently.
However would like to be able to change pitch or sustain settings from the arduino as well. Can someone please help.
thanks

re. synthv1
hi, first make yourself welcome
second, you maybe have to setup some things while on both sides:
1) on the arduino pots side: assign each one a different MIDI CC perhaps--i don't really can't help you here, as I don't even know what the so called "Leonardo" thing is :)
2) on the synthv1 front side (or any of the v1's for that matter): go into menu Help > Configure > Controllers and map those MIDI CCs to one and each of the knobs by symbolic name; one better and friendlier way is right-clicking on the target knob you wish to control, set to its "MIDI Controller..." and there you can even catch up while turning the arduino leonardo controls (pots?), provided it's connected all through alright.
hth.
cheers
thanks so much - right
thanks so much - right-clicking on the target knob to set its "MIDI Controller helped.
How do I get a sound to sustain itself after release of the button or keypad? As the note stops directly after the release of the button.

re. sustain itself after release
hi, there's the purpose of the sustain/damper pedal, I guess...
this is currently hard coded (in synthv1 et al.) to MIDI CC#64 as in the GM standard, so, hopefully, you'll need a MIDI controller foot-switch resembling the piano pedal with same function, that actually sends MIDI CC#64 (127 when pressed and 0 when depressed normal rest position.
