Playhead behavior change

Hey Rui!
Just as I celebrated the feature of using middle mouse click to set playhead and quickly got used to it, you seem to have reverted the feature. Is there any way for a user to customize his controls so that it works again? Because dragging the playhead where I want or setting a blue marker and then using a key to drive the playhead to it is much slower.

yep. there was this regression on the MIDDLE-mouse-button behavior: for (general-ui and quite frankly personal as well) consistency reasons it went back to the old primordial mode: to make it on the play-head (red vertical line) you'll have to press either SHIFT or CTRL keyboard modifier keys, otherwise it will only affect the edit-head/tail (blue vertical lines).

I totally agree with Louigi and you haven't given us a meaningful explanation why this great feature has been reverted.
I've just read LV's post here after I had just requested the abillity for us to be able to configure the mouse on the tracker:

ok. mouse middle-button behavior reversal option with re. pc-keyboard modifiers (ie. shift, ctrl) will hopefully get implemented soon.
the reason for the regression is simply about consistency in the UI: you press shift+click to affect the playhead (red), otherwise the edit-head/tail (blue) are the traditional targets--this is rule for all other mouse-buttons and the middle one should not be exempted ;)
however, the new option will only address the middle-button in a first attempt so that its previous behavior can get back to you as you seem to be more comfortable with.

your prays have been listened and answered on svn trunk rev.3446 (aka. qtractor 0.5.10.1)
shift/ctrl keyboard state, in special regard to edit-head/tail
vs. play-head positioning while on the main track and MIDI clip
editor (aka. piano-roll) views.

We can now qtractor at full speed again - MMB playhead positioning is back in svn!
